Meet the Cast of NYTT 2012 Season2

Yurby Aquino Singer (NYTT2 WINNER!!!)

Yurby Aquino is a Dominican Folk/Alternative Rock singer born and raised in the Bronx. She started performing and writing songs at age 10 and published her first song called "Last Doubt". Since then she has been working on mastering her voice working with different bands and starting her own projects. She has performed all over New York City and looks forward on touring the world.

Gloria Mendez Singer (NYTT2 Runner Up)

Gloria Mendez is a 16 year old girl from NYC. She is a vocal  major at Fiorello H. Laguardia High School for Music & Art and Performing Arts. She has a passion for singing, song writing, and playing the piano. She aspires to someday become one the of greatest professional singers, but until then she is performing as much as she can to get the practice and exposure she needs to reach her goal.

Vladyss Michel Singer (3rd Place)

Vladyss Michel is a 16 year old singer. She loves many things such as dancing, cheer-leading and performing. She started singing at a young age  as just a hobby and has grown to love it. She is a member of the chorus at her school. Vladyss has even performed at her School Talent Show singing Whitney's I Wanna Dance With Somebody. She has been inspired to sing because of her favorite artists such as Beyoncé, Alicia Keys and Whitney Houston. She is excited to be apart of New York's Top Talent this year and she cannot wait to perform!

Courtney Scheer Singer
Courtney Scheer, Throughout my life, I have been drawn to music and acting, and have been privileged to be able to perform on many stages, ranging from local cabaret and Community Theater to symphony halls. I have studied the works of such greats as Bob Marley, the Beatles and Billie Holiday, and have attempted to blend their unique styles into my own sound. I have been most fortunate to have appeared in a variety of lead roles in such stage productions as Chicago, Cats, West Side Story, Beauty and the Beast and Rent. I have immersed myself in every role ever undertaken, and am forever looking forward to the next challenge that awaits.

Liudmila Moshchalkova Dancer

Liudmila Moshchalkova is originally from Russia  but now lives in Brooklyn, NY. She's a Fitness Instructor, Dancer, Choreographer, and has a  BS in Journalism. She's trained as a Latin-Ballroom dancer disciplined in Tango, Rumba, Salasaton, Merengue, Flamenco, to include Belly Dancing and much, much, more...

Tayleur Hylton is a 16 year old singer, dancer, and actor. She's disciplined in Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Coupe Acting, Musical Theatre, and Voice. She has special skills in improvisation, song writing, and singing the alphabet backwards.

JAV Entertainment, Inc is Seeking Performing Artist; Males and Female of all ages, Dancers, Singers, Musicians, Actors,  Entertainers...etc

Producer's statement: "We are seeking New York's premier performing artist to compete for the title of New York's Top Talent." 

SEASON2 OPEN CALL AUDITIONS:

GET STARTED:  **IMPORTANT INFORMATION**

- Bring a copy of your Resume and short Bio.

- Bring a recent Headshot of yourself (8x10 preferred)

- Each audition will last approx. 2mins. (Some may be asked to continue longer)

- Singers: Will sing A Cappella or "Vocals Only". Please prepare 2 songs with 1 verse and 1 chorus for each song. 


- Dancers: Must bring their music on a CD for radio.


- Musicians: Must bring their own Instruments with the EXCEPTION of Pianist. A Piano will be on site.


- Actors:  Have a short Monologue ready (No Reading Allowed)

*** Children under 18 must be accompanied by Parent***

NYTT FAQ:

1. I haven't done anything professional. What do I have to submit as far as the artist resume is concerned?

2. I've never gotten a headshot before, what do I do?

ANSWERS:

1. You can make a shell resume with just your personal information and in the Experience Section put "No Works". However, if you've has done any shows in school or performed in front of an audience, or family parties put those down. We will be happy to hear about those.

2. You don't need a professional Headshot. However we need a way to track your paperwork. If you can print out a recent picture of your face we will accept that your picture; please ensure that your face is clear and have your full name on the photo. We prefer an 8x10 photo.
